What is the real sound of the street? Inspired by Christian Marclay's Guitar Drag, and his later Record Without a Cover I began dragging a luggage bag across America in 2019 I made field recordings of the experience. The effect is one of dragging a stylus across record grooves. The street surface is a record of the past and present. We can interact with the city by playing the record of the streets while walking and dragging.

This album is a meta-recording. While traveling in America in 2019 I used my luggage bag as a 'stylus' to make recordings of the different streets I visited. The album title comes from the project of the same name.
